The Shamanistic Consciousness
In the evolution of life on earth as human beings became entrenched in the material drive to explore the visible world, the shamanistic consciousness began to wane. What was originally the sacred connection between the inner abstract state and formal sensory awareness within the body consciousness had become compromised by an invasive alien force. This was the past – the accrual of unresolved emotional energy for which there was no natural defence to offset. Or so it seemed.
The shamanistic consciousness operates in the present. When the forces of existence are allowed to create emotional ripples within the psyche, the mind interprets the communication of the earth’s spiritual frequency through the impressions of the past. Humanity’s deepening dependency on an emotional way of life provided the way for the gradual psychic possession of the race. To bridge the divide that separates the unity of space, ritual and ceremonies developed to harness a psychic vortex to reach what was once the natural state of everybody on earth. The shamanistic consciousness requires no psychic embellishment – simply an open mind willing to allow life and love to filtrate through the being.
To unite with the spirit of the earth and participate with the integrity of life at its purest octave is everybody’s sacred right. But human beings have largely lost touch with the living reality of the planet. When observing, for example, a bird in a tree or on the garden fence, the idea is to register both the outer sensory awareness and the inner sensation as a unity of perception. This is the shamanistic consciousness in action. Then, while remaining still and alert in the senses, the space containing the bird and the scene surrounding it unite with the consciousness within the observing body.
The bird flies away and its path is able to be traced within the matrix of impersonal space; this is spirit liberated from the confines of time. Furthermore, the conscious acknowledgment of beauty and the sweetness of life contributes to the overall glow of the human spirit to allow a little more love and light to manifest somewhere in the world.
